The term pigging’ refers to the cleaning of pipelines by inserting pigs’ and propelling them through the length of the pipeline usually by the product flow. The Flo Max Australia Power Pigging System is a specifically designed process of pipeline cleaning for the removal of difficult scale deposits from within pipeline systems, particularly encountered in the power, chemical, mining, metalliferous and mineral processing industries. Pipeline pigging technologies have been employed for over 100 years particularly in the oil, gas and water pipeline industries to separate corrosion scales, waxes, climes and soils and traditionally uses the product moderate (i.e. water, oil etc.) The Power Pigging System employs a system of incremental pigging, using purpose built, controlled sized scraper, scouring and studded pigs selected to fracture and unfasten the solid scales involved. Once the pipeline has been returned to its creative flow it is then support that an ongoing cleaning maintenance programmed is incorporated as segment of the clients pipeline maintenance schedule. Flo Max Australia has an impressive fleet of chemical cleaning equipment ranging from large skid mounted diesel aspiring pumping sets to little air operated diaphragm pumps, complimented with an array of tanks, hoses and ancillary equipment manufactured from a variety of materials ranging from polypropelyne to stainless steel. Air scouring involves the controlled injection of filtered compressed air into the main with the objective of forming continuous slugs of discrete air or water flow in the main. It can be impaired as a preventative maintenance procedure or as a means of alleviating filthy water complaints from consumers.
