The department brings together the functions of infrastructure planning and policy, planning, local government and regional services as healthy as economic and regional development to create better cities, towns and communities through coming focused planning, smart development, engagement and strong partnerships. He has substantial experience across the private and public sectors, and a thorough accepting of Queensland's infrastructure needs, having held senior executive roles in multiple industry disciplines spanning construction, finance and service organizations. Stuart Moseley has more than 30 years' experience in planning, urban management and project delivery in both the private and public sector. Stuart spent nearly eight years with the Adelaide City Council, initially as city planner and rising to the position of Chief Executive Officer, where his achievements included the review of the city's planning scheme, the reform of the city's development assessment system and the delivery of a range of major urban projects. Greg Chemello has 30 years' experience in the property and development sectors and has held senior professional, management and leadership roles with both (public and private sector) property asset owners and private sector advisory consulting businesses. Darren Crombie has 20 years' experience in the infrastructure, planning, aviation and innovation sectors, overseeing a range of strategic planning, policy and program initiatives for both the State and Federal Government. His role includes supporting innovative designs for government buildings and encouraging opportunities for regional architects and the further development of regional design. The Planning division administers Queensland's planning and development assessment processes, working closely with local governments, industry, key interest groups and the planning community. There are four key areas that make up planning in Queensland: the planning framework, plan making (including Regional and Precinct planning), development assessment (including the State Assessment and Referral Agency) and refute resolution. This division manages corporate services for the department including Legal and Legislation and Policy support, media and communications as healthy as governance, business encourage and executive services.
